Floral Arranging with Frolic: Week 2

garden roses, dahlia, wild orchid, lemon leaf, tiny violets, and a smattering of stems that my mom clipped for me from her garden

Week two of flower arranging was absolutely impossible for me!  The homework assignment was to recreate a Wild English bouquet that looked effortless.  There was nothing effortless about this.  My arrangement definitely looks wild, and I ended up loving all the bright, bold colors.  But it’s not an arrangement that would be adorning a side-table on an old English estate (yes that’s where I pictured Chelsea’s whimsical bouquet to be).  I think I needed more soft greens and perhaps a slightly different vase…and lots of practice.  I also may or may not have thrown some old blooms to the floor halfway through in a minor fit of frustration.  Whoops.  Regardless, I’m learning a lot!
